Born and raised in Tallahassee, Florida, alongside his wife Meredith, Eric’s understanding of the Panhandle’s culture, people, and business landscape runs deep — and it shows in the way he supports fellow entrepreneurs.
Eric holds an MBA with a specialization in Mergers & Acquisitions and Finance from the University of Tampa, where he refined his strategic acumen in deal structuring, valuation, and exit planning. Before launching Merlau Group Advisors, he played an instrumental role in the expansion of multiple small businesses, giving him a firsthand appreciation for the challenges and opportunities owner-operators face.
